The main objective of the activities of the project is to empower communities to be pro-active in the fight against corruption in Kakuto County Rakai district. The project will run for a period of 15 month i. e. September 2008 to December 2009. This project seeks to empower local communities with knowledge and skills to actively demand for transparency and accountability in the provision of service delivery. To this end the project seeks to increase the number of people actively engaged in monitoring and reporting corruption cases in the priority sectors of the Poverty Eradication Action Plan and to form and train Voluntary Accountability Committees in social mobilization.
