TI Uganda is a membership organization. Members are admitted based on their interest and anticipated level of commitment to the vision, mission and goals of the organization. Individual membership is of anti corruption minded people of integrity from both the private and public service sectors.



Those seeking membership fill an application form, attach detailed Curriculum vitae together with a passport size photograph and send them to the secretariat. Guided by the principles of transparency and integrity, the Board vets the applicants and reserves the right of admission to membership. The following categories of membership are available:



1.     Full members are individuals with integrity who subscribe to the guiding principles and objectives of the organization  and pay the required membership fees

2.     Associate members are individuals, organizations, and institutions whether national or international who support the objectives of the organizations and demonstrate their commitment by rendering service to the organization in various ways.

3.     Honorary members are recognized persons, organizations and institutions of high moral character that have rendered distinguished services to the organization, approved by the General Assembly upon recommendation by the Board.

4.   Student Members are exclusively students who subscribe to the guiding principles    and objectives of the organization and pay the required fees upon subscription.

Transparency international Uganda is a member of Anti-Corruption Coalition (ACCU)  and works jointly with the IGG.TIU is in partinership with DEMgroup

 

 

DEMgroup

 

DEMGroup is a consortium of four civil society organizations that have come together to contribute to a freer elections landscape in Uganda by running a joint 2011 local electoral observation programme. The members of DEMGroup are: 

 

1.      Uganda Joint Christian Council (UJCC),

2.      Action for Development (ACFODE),

3.      Transparency International Uganda (TIU)

4.      Centre for Democratic Governance (CDG). 

 

 DEMGroup has experience in observing elections in Uganda since 1994.

 

 The Group's goal :

 To foster free, fair and transparent elections in accordance with national, regional and international standards. 

 

The objective:

 1.        Providing systematic information on electoral process

2.        Determine electoral malpractices and human rights violations

3.        Enhance public confidence in the electoral process
